How to Calculate CTR (Clickthrough Rate)

CTR Calculator

Click-through rate (CTR) is how many people clicked on your ad (clicks) divided by the number of people who saw it (impressions), multiplied by 100.

(Clicks ÷ Impressions) * 100 = CTR

What is CTR?

Click-Through Rate (CTR) is used to measure your ad performance in terms of the number of clicks and views it receives. It shows how often your audience clicks on your ads, calculated as the number of clicks received divided by the number of impressions. CTR is a commonly used marketing performance metric for PPC, SEO, and email.

It is mostly measured as a percentage rate, and indicates the relevance of your ads. For example, if your ad had 100 clicks, and was shown 10,000 times (10,000 impressions), then your CTR would be 1%.

High CTRs confirm that your messaging and design encourage your audience to click, and can indicate that your campaign is relevant to your targeted audience!

The average CTR for search ads is 3.17%, and for display ads is 0.46%.
