Email Marketing Manager

We need an experienced Email Marketing manager to join the Veuno team. You will to spearhead our email marketing strategies and campaign execution for our clients. This is a client-facing role where you are comfortable listening to and understanding project objectives and can devise appropriate strategies and implementation plans. We need someone who will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing end-to-end email marketing campaigns. This includes managing email databases, crafting engaging newsletters, and leveraging web technologies to drive sales growth. You possess up-to-date knowledge of current email trends and have innovative ideas on how to drive conversions through effective communication. You should have proven hands-on experience overseeing and executing email marketing strategies in an agency setting or in-house for B2B and DTC clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end email marketing campaigns, from conceptualisation to delivery and analysis.
  • Create engaging and compelling email content that resonates with our clients’ audience and aligns with their brand voice, including engaging copy, appealing visuals and persuasive calls to action.
  • Design and implement automated workflows for both marketing and transactional email communication
  • Segment and manage email lists, ensuring accurate targeting and personalised communication based on customer demographics, preferences and behaviour.
  • Implement data capture points across client-owned assets
  • Design visually appealing email templates that are responsive across devices and browsers.
  • Identify opportunities for email optimisation and implementing A/B testing to analyse performance metrics to optimise campaign effectiveness and engagement rates.
  • Monitor and study email campaign key performance indicators (KPIs), such as email deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, conversions and ROI.
  • Stay updated with the industry trends and the best practices in email marketing to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve deliverability issues using best practices and support resources
  • Ensure the accuracy and hygiene of the email database, maintaining opt-in practices and complying with data protection regulations globally, and ensuring contact records always include complete data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content and analytics, to align email marketing efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Proactively manage relationships with clients to build rapport and guarantee a great experience through routine and scheduled interactions.
  • Facilitate weekly performance discussions where you will present metrics that track against KPIs, and advise on how best to leverage current and emerging marketing solutions.
Key success measures for this role will be client satisfaction, client growth targets, and account retention.

We need you to have (our non-negotiables):

  • Proven work experience as an Email marketing manager or Digital marketing specialist
  • Proficiency with CRM integration systems and customer segmentation
    • Mailchimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact, ActiveCampaign, Email Octopus, Campaign Manager, Saleforce, or Pardot.
  • Google Analytics (GA4): Firebase, creating events, building reports and dashboards
  • Google Tag Manager: including advanced tags, triggers and variables
  • Google Data Studio: linking accounts and building dashboards
  • Google Drive: sheets, docs, shared drives, permissions and access management
  • Proven history of managing and growing email databases from a few hundred to a hundreds of thousands of contacts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an analytical mindset to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging email content.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS
  • Relevant certification in email marketing or related fields.
  • Google Analytics Certification
  • Understanding of business model economics
  • Landing Page CRO: cloning for marketing testing/optimization
  • Advanced spreadsheets functions, including formulas and arrays, pivot tables and charts

The salary for this role will range between £28000 and £36000. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
