SEO Specialist

We need an experienced Search Engine Optimization Specialist to join the Veuno team. You will be the primary SEO strategist and execution lead for our clients. This is a client-facing role where you are comfortable listening to and understanding project objectives and can devise appropriate strategies and implementation plans. We need someone with strong tactical SEO skills, including content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will work closely with the PPC Manager in order to maximize ROI for all SEM activities across Google, Yahoo and Bing. You should have proven hands-on experience improving keyword rankings and SERP positions for brands, either in an agency setting or in-house for B2B and DTC clients.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Advise on how to best optimize copy and landing pages for improving keyword ranking in SEMrush/Ahrefs, optimizing for Featured Snippets, creating templates for SEO short form and long form content, advising on optimizing social content for SEO, and creating pillar/evergreen content outlines
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Ensure site schema and data markup is correct
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links
  • Develop and implement link building strategy
  • Work with clients to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented to reduce the number of Errors, Warnings, and Notices.
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Apply best practices and key principles for different networks and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues using best practices and support resources to reduce risk click fraud, low-performance metrics, landing page CRO issues, and high acquisition costs.
  • Regular collaboration with the PPC manager to improve campaign ad quality score impact.
  • Proactively manage relationships with clients to build rapport and guarantee a great experience through routine and scheduled interactions.
  • Facilitate weekly performance discussions where you will present metrics that track against KPIs, and advise on how best to leverage current and emerging marketing solutions.
Key success measures for this role will be client domain authority score, keyword positioning improvements, client satisfaction, client growth targets, and account retention.

We need you to have (our non-negotiables):

  • Up-to-date knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Proven strategies and tactics to improve SEO in a scalable way for clients.
  • Expert knowledge of both technical and non-technical best practices, and how to implement them
  • Proficiency with third-party tools: SpyFU, SEMrush, Ahrefs, ScreamingFrog)
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools: GA4, Firebase, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends
  • Google Tag Manager: including advanced tags, triggers and variables
  • Google Data Studio: linking accounts and building dashboards
  • Google Drive: sheets, docs, shared drives, permissions and access management
  • Prior experience with SEM campaign management and how SEO impacts this
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM

  • Google Ads Certification (we will ask you to pass this upon joining)
  • Google Analytics Certification
  • Experience with bid management tools
  • Paid Social campaign management: Pinterest, Twitter
  • Understanding of business model economics
  • Landing Page CRO: cloning for marketing testing/optimization
  • Advanced spreadsheets functions, including formulas and arrays, pivot tables and charts
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition

The salary for this role will range between £32000 and £38000. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
